Field Trips

At Corn Belt Energy, we strongly believe in fostering opportunities for students to learn outside of the classroom. Corn Belt Energy invites local grade school classes, as well as scout troops and home-schooled student groups, to our facilities as a destination for field trips.

Can’t make it to us?  We’re happy to come to you!

A typical field trip consists of:

  • Classroom education and videos on energy, generation renewable energy and Cooperatives.
  • Careers within a cooperative (Freshman-Seniors suggested)
  • Demonstrations: Bucket Truck, Lineman, Electrical Safety.
  • Each student will receive a “hard hat”, swag items, handouts, and a certificate acknowledging their safety training.

Typically a field trip lasts 1-1.5 hours.

Please fill out form below as thoroughly as possible.

*Given permission from parents, a Corn Belt Energy employee will take pictures of the presentation and the class to be shared with teachers. Some pictures may be used for Corn Belt Energy publications and social media accounts. We will make accommodations to avoid taking pictures of students who do not have parental permission to be photographed.

If you have any further requests, please contact our Communications department at 309-664-9250 or megan.marlowe@cornbeltenergy.com
